Review vow by Sir Bill Beaumont

He has pledged an independent review of World Rugby's governance after being challenged in his bid to remain as chairman after vice-chairman Aqustin Pichot announced he was standing for the role. Beaumont had confirmed his re-
election bid in January on a ticket with Bernard Laporte as his proposed vice-chairman.
Five key manifesto pledges had been made by Sir Bill:
- Governance reform
- Reinforcing international competitions with a focus outside the traditional rugby nations
- Strengthening financial sustainability, consulting players to improve their welfare.
- Developing the woman's game.
- He has now proposed a wide-ranging governance review led by two independently appointed people.
It is nationally reported that there is current global uncertainty In relation to this seasons 2020 international calendar because of the coronavirus pandemic.

He was re-elected after narrowly beating Augustin Pichot by a margin of five votes(28-23) He will prioritise re-arranging Julys Covid 19 hit tests.
